Definition:

These modes select the exposure control system that regulate the aperture and shutter speeds of the camera.

Description:

Automatic exposure control is the system to obtain a correct exposure automatically with a camera's control of the shutter speed and aperture or . There are three systems.

Shutter-priority (TV): Automatic Exposure to set the aperture automatically for correct exposure according to light metering information. The photographer first sets his optional shutter speed.

Aperture-priority(AV): Automatic Exposure to control the shutter speed after the optional aperture is set.

Programmed (P): Automatic Exposure that a camera sets automatically by the aperture and shutter speed.

In addition to the above exposure controls, you may include Manual Exposure Controls (M), where the photographer decides the aperture and shutter speed.
