Description

Use Image Optimizer (Windows)

Solution

Use Background Printing (Windows)

Images, such as those downloaded from web sites, will sometimes develop rough and even jagged edges when printed out. A better quality printout can be obtained by using Image Optimizer to smooth out these rough edges.

Note: The Image Optimizer function may not be as effective for some image resolutions and when used with certain software applications.

  1. From the application you are using, select the command you normally use to print. In most cases, select 'Print' from the 'File' menu.

  2. Make sure that your printer is selected on the print screen, and then select 'Preference' or 'Properties' to access the printer driver setup window.

  3. Click the Effects tab.

  4. Select the Image Optimizer check box.

  5. Click 'OK'.

  6. Click 'Print' in the Print dialog box. Printing will now begin.
