Instructions to use Page Layout Printing (Mac OS X). The Page Layout Printing function allows you to print multiple pages onto a single page. It is useful when you wish to save on paper or reduce the size of documents.

Use Page Layout Printing

The Page Layout Printing function allows you to print multiple pages onto a single page. It is useful when you wish to save on paper or reduce the size of documents. 


Note:  The printer model being used is the PIXMA iP8500.

The Page Layout Printing function is not available when Borderless Printing is selected (Mac OS X version 10.2.1 or higher).
  1. Open the Print dialog box by clicking File and selecting 'Print' in the application. 



  2. Select 'Layout' from the pop-up menu.



  3. Specify the Page Layout Printing settings

  4. Click 'Print'. Printing will now begin.

Page Layout Printing settings


(1) Select the number of pages per sheet. 

(2) Select the layout direction. 

(3) Select the type of line to create borders around the pages.
