Instructions to use Poster printing with the Mac OS 9.x operating system. Poster printing is a useful function that allows you to enlarge a document or image and print it out on smaller individual sections. You can create large posters by joining the individual parts together.

Poster Printing is a useful function that allows you to enlarge a document or image and print it out on smaller individual sections. You can create large posters by joining the individual parts together. 

Note:  The Poster Printing function is not available when any of the following functions or options is selected:
  • Borderless Printing 
  • Background Printing is disabled
  1. Select 'Print...' from the File menu. 

  2. Click 'Options...'  (The Options dialog box appears.) 

  3. Choose the desired settings. Click here for more information.

  4. Click 'OK'.

  5. Click 'Print'. One page of data will be printed on the specified number of sheets.


Selecting the Poster printing settings:


  • Select the number of sheets over which to divide the data from Layout
  • Select the type of border from Page Border
  • Selecting 'Cut/Paste lines' prints cutoff lines for poster-fitting guides. 
  • Selecting 'Cut/Paste string' prints cutoff lines and paste strings for poster-fitting guides. 

Note: You can select printed or unprinted sheets using your mouse on the preview screen.  When you click a sheet on the preview, it will be hidden and not be printed. Click the same sheet again to print it.
