Instructions to set a custom paper size in Mac OS 9.x.  You can choose non-standard paper sizes for printing tasks by specifying custom sizes in inches or millimeters.  Up to three custom paper size settings can be saved.

  1. Select 'Page Setup...' from the File menu.



  2. Select either of  'Custom (1 - 3)' from Paper Size, then click 'Custom...'



  3. Enter the desired settings. Click here for more information. 

    Note:   When the paper source is set to Cassette, documents with paper size outside the range of 5.00 - 11.69 inches (127.0 - 297.0 mm) lengthways or 3.51 - 8.50 inches (89.0 - 215.9 mm) sideways cannot be printed.

  4. Check Save Settings to save the settings in the Page Setup dialog box.

Entering custom paper size:


  1. Enter the custom paper size name you would like to save in Media.

  2. Select either 'mm' or 'inches' from Unit.  

  3. Enter values in 'Height' and 'Width' under Paper Size.  

    Note:  The allowable sizes are 3.58-23.00 in (91.0-584.2 mm) lengthways and 2.17-8.50 in (55.0-215.9 mm) sideways.

  4. Click 'Apply' to register the custom paper size under the specified name.
