Use the Photo Noise Reduction Setting (Mac OS 9.x)

Instructions to use the Photo Noise Reduction function in Mac OS 9.x.  The Photo Noise Reduction function reduces noise from blue portions such as the sky and dark portions of the images taken with your digital camera.

  1. Select 'Print...' or 'Print Desktop' from the File menu.



  2. Select 'Manual' from Print Mode.



  3. Click 'Details...'  (The Detailed Setting dialog box appears.) 



  4. Select 'Special effects'.  (The Special effects panel appears.) 

  5. Check the Photo Noise Reduction checkbox.  



  6. Select 'Normal' or 'Strong' from the pop-up menu. 

    Note:  'Normal' is the preferred photo noise reduction level. If noise reduction is insufficient, select 'Strong' to increase the level.  Click 'OK'.  Click 'Print'.

The image data will be printed with reduced noise.
