Instructions for using grayscale printing in Mac OS X. Grayscale Printing allows you to convert color documents for printing in black and white without changing the original colors.

Note: When printing on media other than plain paper, Grayscale printing does not prevent the use of all inks. On photo paper, shades of gray are created by using all color inks to create a composite shading.

  1. Open the Print dialog box by clicking on File and then selecting 'Print' from inside the application being printed from..

    note:
    If the dialog box below appears, click (Down arrow) to get more printing options.

  2. Select 'Quality & Media' from the pop-up menu.

  3. Select the 'Grayscale Printing' check box.



  4. Click 'Print'. Printing will now begin.
