Enable/Disable Vivid Photo (Mac OS X)

Instructions to enable or disable Vivid Photo in Mac OS X.  You can get the best results by using Vivid Photo function when printing photos of landscape scenes that feature strong blues of sky and sea and lush greens of natural vegetation.

Note:  When using Vivid Photo the user should be aware of the following:

  • Vivid reproduction of blues and greens does not affect the color of foreground subjects.
  • Skin tones will look natural without excessive red coloring.
  • The effect will not be as strong with low saturation colors close to gray.
  • If you select 'ColorSync' in the Color Correction settings in the Color Options dialog box, there will be no Vivid Photo effect even if you select the 'Vivid Photo' check box.
  1. Open the Print dialog box from within the application by clicking on the File menu and selecting 'Print'.

  2. Select 'Special Effects' from the pop-up menu.

  3. Select the 'Vivid Photo' check box.

  4. Click 'Print'. Printing will now begin.
