Solution

Specifying paper in the cassette

You can specify the type/size of paper allocated in the cassette. If Paper Allocation is selected from Paper Source, the allocated paper will be fed automatically from the cassette. For example, if you have allocated letter plain paper in the cassette and select to use letter plain paper, paper will be fed automatically from the cassette. You do not need to use the Feed Switch button on the printer. If the size and type of paper loaded in the cassette does not match the Paper Allocation settings, paper will be fed from the auto sheet feeder. Perform the following procedure from the Main tab in the Printer Properties or Printing Preferences dialog box.

  1. Select 'Paper Allocation' from Paper Source, then click 'Paper Allocation'.



  2. Configure the paper type and size in the Paper Allocation dialog box.

  3. Click 'OK'.
