Remove Jammed Paper From Sheet Feeder
Instructions to remove jammed paper from the duplex transport on the printer.
Caution: The power cable should be disconnected from the unit when inspecting the paper path for obstructions.
When paper is jammed during duplex printing:
To remove paper jammed in the transport unit, follow this procedure:
- Open the rear cover. Pull out the jammed paper slowly, holding the printer.

Note: If the jammed paper cannot be pulled out, power the printer off, and then on again. The jammed paper may be ejected.
- Close the rear cover. Set paper in the sheet feeder, and press the printer's Resume/Cancel button to resolve the error.
To remove paper jammed in the duplex transport section, follow this procedure:
- When paper is set in the sheet feeder, remove the paper, and close the sheet feeder cover. Remove the cassette, and stand the printer with the rear side down.
- Pull the green cover forward, and while holding the printer, pull out the jammed paper slowly.

After removing the jammed paper:
- Return the printer to the original position.
- Install the cassette.
- Open the paper feeder cover.
- Set paper in the sheet feeder.
- Press the printer's Resume/Cancel button to resolve the error.
Note: When the printer is powered off and then on again the print data sent to the printer will be erased. Once the data has been erased, perform printing again.
