Solution

Confirm that Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Later and Microsoft "Support for Bluetooth Wireless Devices" are Installed

  1. Select 'Start', 'Control Panel', 'Performance and Maintenance', and 'System'. 

    Note:  When using Classic View on 'Control Panel', select 'Start', 'Control Panel', and 'System'.



  2. In the System Properties dialog box, select the General tab.

  3. Under the System section, confirm that "Service Pack 1" or a later version is displayed.



  4. Checking for Windows XP Service Pack 1 (or later) installation is completed.

  5. Select 'Start', 'Control Panel', 'Printers and Other Hardware', and 'Wireless Link'. 

    Note:  When using the Classic View in Control Panel, select 'Start', 'Control Panel', and 'Wireless Link'.



  6. Click the Bluetooth tab.

  7. When printing is possible in a Bluetooth environment, Canon i80 is displayed.



    Note: If Bluetooth tab does not display, then either a Bluetooth adapter is not installed on the computer, or the adapter is using a third-party driver.

  8. Checking for Wireless Link installation is completed.
