How to perform tiled printing using ImageBrowser

1. Select the images you want to print in the browser window.

2. Select 'Print' from the File menu, and then select 'Layout printing'....

3. When the Print dialog box opens, select 'Print' from the File menu, and then select 'Layout Options'....

4. When the Layout Options dialog box opens, select 'Tiled Photo Printing', and then click 'Next'.

5. Confirm the paper to print with, and select the number of images to be arranged on the page.

6. When the aspect ratio of the actual image differs from that of the specified image in the Photo Size section, perform the following procedures.

  • When 'Automatic Clipping' is selected, the specified Photo Size is given priority over the actual image, and part of the image will be trimmed.
  • When 'Automatic Clipping' is not selected, the image is set to the largest size that can be put in the specified Photo Size, and margins may appear.

Note: Instead of trimming on the basis of either the length or width of the specified Photo Size, the whole image is reduced or expanded.
Note: The trimming for each image can be changed in the Print dialog box prior to printing.

7. To specify the photo print area, click 'Set Photo Area'. In the Set Photo Area dialog box, the following can be specified.

  • Settings of the left, right, top, and bottom paper margins. Set the paper margins to use in millimeters or inches.

Note: When borderless printing is specified, set the minimum value of 0.3 millimeters / 0.25 inches for the right, left, top, and bottom margins.

  • Centering: Position the photo in the center, either vertically or horizontally. In the Center section, check either 'Vertically' or 'Horizontally'. If 'Vertically' is selected and either the Top or Bottom margin are specified, uniform margins will be set automatically. If different values are set for the top/bottom, or left/right margins, and 'Center' is selected, the larger of the values will be applied uniformly.

Note: If 'Horizontally' is selected, the Left or Right margins will be set automatically.

  • Print area maximization: Specification of the maximum space to be printed. When performing borderless printing, click 'Maximum Print Area'. Minimum values for the margins will be set automatically.
  • Half-page positioning: Specification of the half-page to use in printing. The image can be printed on the specified half-page. When clicking the left, right, top, and bottom buttons, the margins are set automatically.

Note: To set the images a half-page, and also center it, perform the following procedures
    1. In the Half Page section, select the half-page button.
    2. Enter the margin values.
    3. In the Center section, select either 'Vertically' or 'Horizontally'. If 'Center' is selected, and then half-page setting is performed, the half-page setting will be valid, and Centering will be cancelled.

When settings are completed, click 'OK' to return the Layout Options dialog box.

8. Settings in the Layout Options dialog box are completed, click 'OK'.

Note: When performing borderless printing, be sure to select paper supporting borderless printing in the Page Setup dialog box.

9. Return to the Print dialog box, and click the 'Print' icon to start printing.

Note: Automatic Clipping is performed in the images above.

10. Settings for the tiled printing using ImageBrowser are completed.
