How to import images using ImageBrowser

Use one of the procedures listed below to import images using ImageBrowser.

Import images from a Canon digital camera

Import images from a folder that contains image files


To import images from a Canon digital camera

1. Connect the digital camera to the computer.

2. The ImageBrowser Automation wizard starts automatically.

3. Select 'Display Images', and then click 'OK'.

4. The Camera window opens, and images stored on the camera are displayed.

5. Click the images to select the ones you want to import, and then click 'DOWNLOAD'.

Note: To select all the images stored on the camera, click 'SELECT'.


Note: You can also use the procedure described below to import images from a digital camera.

a. After connecting the digital camera to the computer, select 'Download Images' in the ImageBrowser Automation wizard.

b. To change the folder used to store the images, click 'Change'.

c. Click 'Next'.


d. Select the images you want to download, and then click 'OK'.

e. When all the selected images have been downloaded, select the operation to perform on the downloaded images, and then click 'OK'.

Note: To save the downloaded images (with no further operations), click Cancel.

6. This completes the procedure.

Note: Only Mac OS 8.6 - 9.x allows you to download via the ImageBrowser Automation wizard. When using Mac OS X, click Open Camera in the CANON CAMERA menu, or click the Canon Camera icon in the browser window to display the images.

To import images from a folder that contains image files

1. In the Explorer view on the left side of the browser window, select the folder that contains the images you want to import.

2. The imported images are displayed on the right side of the browser window.


3. This completes the procedure.
