How to import images using ZoomBrowser EX 4.x

Images can be imported using ZoomBrowser EX 4.0, as follows.


To Import images using a Canon digital camera or a memory card

1. Check that the camera or memory card is connected to the computer.

2. From Tasks, select 'Camera & Memory Card', and select 'Browse & Download Images'.



Note: Selecting 'Import Images' from the File menu also allows images to be imported.

3. When the Camera window opens, click to select the images to import, and click 'Download image'.

4. The Download Settings dialog box is displayed.

Specify the folder which image will be saved to. When 'Browse' is clicked, the Select Folder dialog box will be displayed, allowing the selection of the folder to import images to. Click 'OK'.

Select whether to create a new folder within the folder to save. To create a new folder, in the Folder name section, select 'Shooting date', 'Downloaded date', or 'Set as new'.

Note: When 'Set as new' is selected, be sure to enter the folder name.

To select 'Designate prefix of image to be saved', Imported images will be named using \"the name entered in File prefix + sequence number starting from 0001\".

Note: In the above example, the file name would be canon_bj.0001.

5. When settings are complete, click 'OK' to begin importing images.

6. The imported images are displayed in the Browser area.

Note: After an image has been imported, an icon will be displayed in the upper left corner of the images in the Camera window, as shown below.

7. Importing images using a Canon digital camera or a memory card is completed.

To import images from a folder or subfolder displayed in Folders

1. From Folders, select the folder to use.



Note: Some folders cannot be selected in Folder. To display images in the selected folder, see the procedures below on importing images from Windows Explorer.

2. Images in the selected folder are displayed in the Browser area.

3. Importing images from the folder or subfolder displayed in Folders is completed

To import images from Windows Explorer

1. From Windows Explorer, import the image files or folders by dragging-and-dropping them directly to the Folders or Browser area in ZoomBrowser EX 4.x.

Drag-and-dropping the images directly to the Folders or Browser area in ZoomBrowser EX 4.x.

2. The imported images in the file or folder are displayed in the Browser area.

3. Importing images from Windows Explorer is completed.
