Resetting the Scanner Button Assignments

Reset the scanner button assignments with the following procedures

1. (Windows XP) Click the Start menu, followed by Control Panel, and then double-click Scanners and Cameras.
   (Windows 98, Me, 2K) Click the Start menu, followed by Settings, Control Panel, and then double-click Scanners and Cameras.
   
2. The Scanners and Cameras window will appear. The scanner being used should be listed in this window.
   Right-click on the scanner name and select Properties.
   
3. Click the Events tab.
   
4. For each scanner button, remove check marks from application programs other than the intended program (usually the Toolbox application that was installed with the scanner) in the 'Send to this application:' list and then click the Apply button.
   
5. Click the OK button when the settings for each scanner button are complete.
