Setting up the printer as a Bluetooth device - Mac

Solution

Registering the Printer as a Bluetooth device

Register the printer as a Bluetooth device using the Bluetooth Setup Assistant.

1.Click the Bluetooth icon on the menu bar and then select 'Set up Bluetooth Device'.

The Bluetooth Setup Assistant starts. (If the Bluetooth icon does not exist on the menu bar, double-click the 'Applications' folder in the hard disk where the printer driver is installed, the 'Utilities' folder, and then the 'Bluetooth Setup Assistant' icon.)

2. Click 'Continue'.

3. Select 'Printer', then click 'Continue'.

4. Select the same device name (Model) as that you checked on the Canon iP90 Setup Utility, then click 'Continue'.

5. Click 'Continue'.

6. Click 'Quit'.

7. Double-Click the 'Applications' folder in the hard disk where the printer driver is installed, the 'Utilities' folder, and then 'Printer Setup Utility' icon to check whether the printer name selected in Step 4 is registered in the Printer List.

Note:

  • If two or more printers are registered with the same name (Canon iP90 (xx:xx:xx)), leave one printer and delete all the rest.
  • To set the newly registered printer as the default printer, select the printer on the Printer List, then click 'Make Default'. The printer will be selected when you open the Print dialog box.

Now, the settings for printing via Bluetooth communication are ready.
