Change the print data size to increase speed

Solution

Changing the print data size using the printer driver

When the printing speed is slow, change the print data size using the printer driver.

Windows:

(1) Select the print command of your application. Generally, selecting 'Print' from the File menu allows you to open the Print dialog box.

(2) Ensure that your printer is selected and click 'Preferences' (or 'Properties' ).

(3) Click 'Print Option' on the Page Setup tab.

(4) Check 'Change the print data size to match the port' , and click 'OK'.

Note: If this box is checked, printing time becomes shorter, however the print quality drops. Make this setting as usage requires.

Macintosh:

(1) Ensure that the printer is connected with the computer with a USB cable, and that the POWER Lamp is on.

(2) Browse to the Hard Drive>Library>Printers>Canon>BJ Printer>Utilities folder.

(3) Double-click the 'Canon IJ Printer Utility' icon.

(4) Select the name of the printer to which you attached the Bluetooth unit from the Product list, and click 'Maintenance'. The BJ Printer Utility dialog box will appear.

(5) Select 'Custom Settings' from the pop-up menu, check 'Change the print data size to match the port' , and click 'Send'.

Note: If this box is checked, printing time becomes shorter, however the print quality drops. Make this setting as usage requires.
