Checking if access from a Bluetooth compatible device is refused.
Check the printer access setting using the Canon xxxx Setup Utility. ("xxxx" denotes model)
Windows:
- Check that the printer is connected with the computer with a USB cable, and that the printer is on.
- Click 'Start' , 'All Programs' , 'Canon Utilities' , 'Canon xxxx Setup Utility' , 'Canon xxxx Setup Utility' , or double-click 'Canon xxxx Setup Utility' icon on the desktop. The Canon xxxx Setup Utility will start.
- If 'Refuse' is selected in Access in Bluetooth Settings on the Canon xxxx Setup Utility screen, click 'Change'.
- On the Enter Passkey dialog, enter a passkey and click 'OK'.
Note: The default Passkey is 0000.
- On the Bluetooth screen, uncheck 'Refuse access' and click 'Send'.
- When the confirmation message appears, click 'OK'. If the POWER lamp is flashing green, the printer is initializing. Wait until the POWER lamp stops flashing and changes to a steady light.
Macintosh:
- Check that the printer is connected with the computer with a USB cable, and that the printer is on.
- Double-click to open the Application folder on the hard disk where the printer driver is installed, and double-click the 'Canon xxxx Setup Utility' icon in the Canon xxxx Setup Utility folder. The Canon xxxx Setup Utility will start.
- If 'Refuse' is selected in Access in Bluetooth Settings on the Canon xxxx Setup Utility screen, click 'Change'.
- On the Enter Passkey dialog, enter a passkey and click 'OK'.
