DEFINITION:

Super wide-angle lenses have a focal length less than 20mm.

They take in more of the scene than a wide angle lens. More of the image will be in focus. The image below was shot with a 16mm lens on a full-frame camera. The top and bottom of the image was cropped off of the frame for a panoramic effect.
