Solution

Load Paper into the Sheet Feeder

Paper which can be used as plain paper

  • General copy paper for use in copy machines, etc.
  • Size:     [Fixed size paper] A4, A5, B5, Letter, and Legal
                [Custom size paper] 54.0 x 86.0 mm - 215.9 x 584.2 mm (2.13 x 3.39 in - 8.5 x  23 in)
  • Weight: 64 - 105 gm2 (17 - 28 lb)
  • Super White Paper (SW-201)

Before setting paper:

Envelopes

Set envelopes with their longer side vertically with attention to their flaps location.

Note:  Set envelopes with their flaps closed.

Other than envelopes

If the paper is curled, bend the paper in the opposite direction and avoid leaving ripples in the paper surface.

How to set paper

Note:  Set paper vertically in the auto sheet feeder regardless of printing orientation.  If credit card sized Glossy Photo Paper is set in landscape orientation, paper may jam.

  1. Open the sheet feeder cover and extend the paper support.

  2. Open the paper output tray and extend the extension.

Note:  When opening the paper output tray, gently lower it by hand.

  3. Press the <Paper Feed> switch to light the Sheet Feeder lamp.

Note:  When the printer driver is set to a setting other than Using Paper Feed Switch, the printer driver setting is given priority.

  4. Set paper, aligned with the right side of the sheet feeder, and pinch and move the paper guide until it rests against the left side of paper.

Note (after printing)

Remove printed sheets (plain paper / High Resolution Paper) before the 50-sheet limit is reached, and printed sheets (when using other paper) before the respective sheet limit is reached.

(If the output paper is curled, remove them sheet by sheet.)

For the following paper, remove them from the paper output tray sheet by sheet.

  • Glossy Photo Paper
  • Photo Paper Plus Glossy (A4 size only)
  • Matte Photo Paper
  • Transparencies
  • T-Shirt Transfers
  • Photo Paper Pro
  • Photo Paper Plus Semi-gloss
  • Photo Paper Plus Double Sided
  • Photo Stickers
