How to tell the paper's print side from the non-print side

Many types of paper have a printing side and a non-printing side.  Ink may not absorb properly on the non-printing side. Use the table below to determine the proper side to print on for Canon paper. For third-party paper consult the documentation that came in the package from the manufacturer.

Paper Type (Canon) Print Side
Photo Paper Pro PR-101 Glossy side
Photo Paper Plus Glossy PP-101 Glossy side
Glossy Photo Paper GP-401 Glossy side
Matte Photo Paper MP-101 Whiter side
High Resolution Paper HR-101 Whiter side
High Gloss Photo Film HG-201 Load the film with the cut corner at the upper right or lower left
T-Shirt Transfers TB-201 White side (The non-print side has a grid pattern.)
