Recommended Shooting Distances

For normal shooting conditions, stay at least 2 ft. (60 cm) away from the subject.

Blurry images may results if you are too close to the subject. Many PowerShot models also feature a Macro (close-up) shooting mode for use when shooting at closer distances. This mode is usually enabled by pressing a button marked with a flower () symbol. Press this button to enable this feature before shooting at closer distances. Refer to the specifications for your particular PowerShot model for additional close-up shooting information.
