Verify proper driver installation in Mac OS X


Verify your printer name is displayed in the Printer List

Note: After confirming that the cable is connected and the printer is powered on, perform the following:

For Mac OS X versions 10.4.x or later:

  1. In the Apple menu, open System Preferences.

  2. Open Print and Fax. Ensure your printer is displayed in the Printers list. If your printer is not displayed in the Printer List, reinstall / add the printer driver.

  3. To add the printer, click the Plus (+) sign.

  4. Select the printer to add, then click 'Add'.

    Note: Make sure that either 'Canon IJ Printer' or the name of your printer appears in the Print Using pop-up menu.

  5. The printer is added.
