Verify your printer name is displayed in the Printer List
Note: After confirming that the cable is connected and the printer is powered on, perform the following:
For Mac OS X versions 10.4.x or later:
- In the Apple menu, open System Preferences.

- Open Print and Fax. Ensure your printer is displayed in the Printers list. If your printer is not displayed in the Printer List, reinstall / add the printer driver.

- To add the printer, click the Plus (+) sign.

- Select the printer to add, then click 'Add'.
Note: Make sure that either 'Canon IJ Printer' or the name of your printer appears in the Print Using pop-up menu.

- The printer is added.
