Configuring Silent Shooting

Solution

You can suppress the camera noise when performing viewfinder shooting.
The setting procedure is explained below.
IMPORTANT
The position and shape of the operation buttons may differ depending on the model you use.

1. Set the camera's power switch to [ON].

2. Press the [ ] button.

3. Press the [ ], [ ] keys to select [ ] or [ ], then press [ ].

: Silent single shooting Single shooting with less shooting sound than [ ].
: Silent continuous shooting Continuous shooting with less shooting sound than [ ]. The continuous shooting speed will be approx. 3.0 shots/sec.

4. Shoot.

IMPORTANT
  • If [ ] or [ ] is set, the time lag from when you press the shutter button completely until the picture is shot will be longer than with normal single or continuous shooting.
  • With Live View shooting, [ ] and [ ] cannot be set.
  • When the battery level is low, the continuous shooting speed may become slightly slower.
  • AI Servo AF operation, the continuous shooting speed may become slightly slower depending on the subject and the lens used.
