This article explains how to scan documents with IJ Scan Utility on a Mac.

Solution

Before you begin

To scan from your Mac®, you need to download and install the ICA driver for your printer. If the IJ Scan Utility is not installed on your computer, you can download it from our support site.

Click on link for your printer model to go to the appropriate support page MG5720 / MG6820 / MG7720.


Scan a document

  1. Place the document on the glass surface of the scanner.

  2. Start the IJ Scan Utility.

  3. Select Settings to set the desired paper size, resolution, etc. in the Settings (Document Scan) dialog, then select OK.

  4. Select Document to start the scan, or cancel if you need to stop the scan.

To retrieve your scanned images go to the folder you designated from the Settings (Document Scan) dialog. (The default save folder is the Pictures folder.)
