You can use Canon IJ Scan Utility to scan documents to your computer.
Follow the steps below

Place the document on the scanner's glass surface.

Start IJ Scan Utility.

Select Settings..., enter your desired settings in the Settings (Document Scan) dialog box, then select OK.

Select Document and the scan starts. Select Cancel if you need to to cancel the scan.
Good to know
To designate the location folder for scanned images, or to choose advanced scan settings, select
Settings... from the
Settings (Document Scan) dialog box.
