Follow the steps below to remove a paper jam when you perform automatic duplex prints.
 

Before you begin

 To turn off the machine and remove a paper jam, press the Stop button to stop the print job and turn off the machine.
 

Paper jam in the paper output slot

1. Hold the paper with both hands, and pull it out slowly from the paper output slot so it doesn't tear.

   

2. Reload the paper and tap OK on the machine's touch screen.

Paper jam in the transport unit

1. Turn the machine off and unplug it.

2. Stand the machine up on its right side.

• Make sure the document cover is closed before you stand the machine up on its side.

• Stand the machine on a wide, flat surface like a desk.

• Hold the machine securely with your hands, to stand it up, and be careful not to hit anything.

3. Push the lever to open the transport unit and support the machine with your hands. This ensures it doesn't fall over when you open or close the transport unit.

   

4. Pull out the jammed paper slowly and make sure to support the machine with your hand so that it doesn't fall over.

   

 If the paper is rolled up and difficult to remove, pull out the edge of the paper first.

• If you can't remove the jammed paper from the transport unit, close the transport unit, return the machine to its original position, and remove the paper from inside the machine.

5. Close the transport unit and return the printer to its original position right away.

   

6. Plug the machine back in and turn it back on.

7. All jobs in the print queue are canceled. Redo the prints jobs if necessary.
