Support Code 2500: Print Alignment Issue – PIXMA MG7520, MG7720

Resolve the Support Code 2500 error indicating the Automatic Print Head Alignment has failed on your MG7520 or MG7720 printer.


There are three potential solutions to fix the Automatic Print Head Alignment.

Take appropriate action

To get started, tap OK on the touch screen to dismiss the error, then try the 3 solutions below:
  1. Adjust your operating environment and/or the position of the printer so that the paper output slot is not exposed directly to strong light.

  2. Print the nozzle check pattern on the MG7520 or MG7720 to check the status of the print head.

  3. Load one sheet of A4 Letter-sized plain paper and perform Automatic Print Head Alignment again.

If the problem continues after aligning the print head again, tap OK on the touch screen to dismiss the error, and then perform Manual Print Head Alignment.
