Other Ways to Connect the Printer to the Wireless Network

If you don't have an Android or iOS device available, there are some other ways you can set up the printer to connect to your wireless network:

  1. Download the software to your PC or tablet: get the printer software for Windows (instructions) or get the printer software for Mac® (instructions).

This method can be used to connect the printer to the network if the printer is ready to receive information, as shown in steps 1-4 above.

  2. If you have a Mac and a USB cable, you can use the Canon IJ Network Tool on your Mac to reconnect the printer to your wireless network. (Get the IJ Network Tool if you don't have it).

This method should be used if your Mac is running macOS 12 or later. If you have set the printer to receive information from your wireless network as shown in steps 1-4 above, press the Stop  button before using this method of configuring the printer.

  3. If your router has a WPS Push Button on it, you can use the WPS Push Button method to connect the printer to a wireless network.

If you have set the printer to receive information from your wireless network as shown in steps 1-4 above, press the Stop  button before using this method of configuring the printer.
