Resolve Paper Jam When Double Sided Printing - PIXMA MG3620

Description

 Remove paper jams in the PIXMA MG3620 printer when performing automatic duplex printing.

 

Solution

Follow the steps below to remove a paper jam from either the front or back of the printer.

 If you need to turn off the machine to remove jammed paper, press the Stop button to cancel print jobs first.

 

Remove jam from the front of the printer

Written Instructions

  1. Hold the paper with both hands, and slowly pull the paper out from the paper output slot so it doesn't tear.


     

     Don't pull the paper out from the front tray even though you can see the jammed paper, it could damage the machine.
     
  2. Reload the paper and press the machine's Black or Color button.
     
If you weren't able to remove the paper, you may need to remove the paper from the back of the printer (go to the next section).

Written instructions

  1. Turn the machine off, then unplug the power cord.
     
  2. Stand the machine with the right side facing down.
     
 When you stand the machine, confirm that the document cover is closed.
  • Stand the machine on a wide and flat surface such as a desk.

  • When you stand the machine, hold it securely and be careful not to hit it on a hard object

  • If the protective material for the transport unit remains attached (orange, plastic packaging), remove it.


  1. Push the open lever to open the transport unit, while you support the machine with your hand so it doesn't fall down.
     


     

  2. Pull the jammed paper out slowly, while you support the machine with your hand so that it doesn't fall down.

     

     If the paper is rolled up and it's difficult to remove, carefully pull out the edges of the paper. Then remove the jammed paper
     
  3. Close the transport unit and return the printer to its normal position .


     

  4. Plug the machine back in and turn it on.

  5. Reload the paper.

 All print jobs in the queue have been canceled. Reprint if necessary.
