Follow these steps to complete a wireless setup which enables you to operate the PIXMA printer from a computer or mobile device.
Prepare the printer

Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (A) on the printer until the ON lamp (B) flashes.

Press the Color button (C), then the Wi-Fi button (A).

Make sure that the Wi-Fi lamp (D) flashes quickly and the ON lamp is lit.

When the Wi-Fi lamp (D) flashes quickly, the printer is ready to receive information from the wireless network.

Use the Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY app to connect the printer to the network using an Android™ device or using an iOS® device.
Other Ways to Connect the Printer to the Wireless Network
If you don't have an Android or iOS device available, there are some other ways you can set up the printer to connect to your wireless network:

Download the software to your PC or tablet: get the printer software for Windows (instructions) or get the printer software for Mac® (instructions).
This method can be used to connect the printer to the network if the printer is ready to receive information, as shown in steps 1-4 above.

If you have a Mac and a USB cable, you can use the Canon IJ Network Tool on your Mac to reconnect the printer to your wireless network. (Get the IJ Network Tool if you don't have it).
This method should be used if your Mac is running macOS 12 or later. If you have set the printer to receive information from your wireless network as shown in steps 1-4 above, press the Stop
button before using this method of configuring the printer.

If your router has a WPS Push Button on it, you can use the WPS Push Button method to connect the printer to a wireless network.
If you have set the printer to receive information from your wireless network as shown in steps 1-4 above, press the Stop
button before using this method of configuring the printer.
