Description

This article provides information on how to install the PIXMA iP110 wirelessly via a Direct Connection with a Windows PC.

Solution

Your printer can be used with your Windows PC wirelessly without the use of a router.  This is known as Direct Connection.  To set up your PC to work with the printer using Direct Connection, follow the steps below.
  1. Insert the Setup CD-ROM into your PC.  If a prompt appears asking you what you want to do with the CD that has just been inserted, select the option to Run MSETUP4.exe.  This will begin the setup program.

  2. When the setup program begins, click Next.

  3. Click Wireless LAN Connection, then click Next.

  4. Click Direct Connection.

Important
  • If your PC is connected to a wireless network, Direct Connection will be grayed out.  In order for this option to be available, your PC must not be connected to a wireless network.  If it is connected to a wireless network, disconnect the PC from that network and run the setup again.

  1. Click Next.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to execute the setup.

  3. The computer will then communicate with the printer.  The connection process will then be completed.  Click Next on the Connection completed screen.

  4. When the Software Installation List appears, place a check in the box for each application that you want to install.  If you want to install all applications, click Select All.  If you do not want to install any applications, click Clear All.  Note that the MP Drivers are required and will be installed even if Clear All is clicked.

  5. Click Yes to agree to the license agreement.  On the following screen, click Next to begin the installation of the drivers and software.

  6. After the drivers and software are installed, click Complete on the Setup Completion window.

Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
