Description

Use the WPS (push button method) to connect your PIXMA MG3620 to a wireless network (LAN) right from the printer screen.

Solution

Your PIXMA MG3620 can be connected to a wireless LAN by using the WPS Push Button method.  This will allow you to connect your printer to the network by pressing a WPS button on your router.  Please note that not all routers will have this button.  Check your wireless router's documentation to see if such a button is on your router.

Start the WPS setup

  1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button until the POWER lamp flashes.

  2. Press the Black Start button then the Wi-Fi button.

  3. Make sure the Wi-Fi lamp flashes quickly and the POWER lamp is lit.

  4. While the Wi-Fi lamp is flashing quickly, press and hold the WPS button on the wireless router within two minutes per the router manufacturer's recommended time (usually 3-5 seconds).

  5. When the connection has been made, the Wi-Fi and ON lamps will be lit.

If the connection fails, the Alarm lamp will be lit and the Wi-Fi lamp will flash. If this happens, press the Stop button and try again.

If you still can't connect the printer to your network via the WPS Push Button method, or if your router does not have this button, visit one of the articles below for other wireless setup methods.
