Description

Understand and resolve ScanGear Support Codes and messages on a PIXMA MG5700 or MG6800 series printer.

Solution

If you receive a scan error on your printer panel or computer, check the table below to find possible causes and some actions you can take to clear the error.

  • Error in scanner.

  • Turn off scanner and follow instructions in User's Guide.

  • Scanner driver will be closed.

  • Make sure that your scanner or printer and the computer are connected correctly.

  • Delete, the MP Drivers then reinstall them from the Setup CD, or go online to download the drivers and software.

  • Your scanner or printer may be damaged.

  • Restart the computer, then reconnect your scanner. If the error message still appears, service is required.

  • There may be interference with other drivers. Delete unnecessary drivers. 

  • Your application may not comply with TWAIN. Use another application to scan.

  • Scanner driver will be closed.

Delete unnecessary files on the hard disk and scan again.
