On this camera, you can select [ : Fine ] or [ : Super Fine ] for the compression ratio regardless of the recording pixel setting (size).
REFERENCE
[ ] and ] indicate different levels of image quality depending on the extent of compression. At the same size (number of pixels), [ ] offers higher image quality. Although [ ] images have slightly lower image quality, more fit on a memory card.
- If the compression ratio cannot be changed, please refer to the procedures below.
1. Turn the camera on.
2. Set the shooting mode to [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ], or [ ] mode.
IMPORTANT
- The compression ratio cannot be set to [ ] in modes other than those indicated in the image above. In [ ] mode, the selectable options vary depending on the assigned shooting mode.
3. Press the < > button to display the menu screen, and then touch [ Image quality ] ( ) on the left side of the screen.
4. Touch one of the options with [ ] to select it, and then press the < > button.
5. The shooting screen reappears.
If the [ ] icon appears at the top of the screen, the setting is complete.
