Description

Turning off IPv6 can help resolve network connectivity issues where an IPv4 address is not assigned to the printer.  This can also help if the 6910 error is displayed on the printer's LCD.

Solution

If you experience difficulties in setting devices up with the printer on your network, print a LAN details page to ensure that the printer is connected to your wireless network.

If the printer shows that the connection is Active but there is no IPv4 address, follow these steps to disable IPv6.
  1. Press the Setup  button on the printer.

  2. Press the  button until Device settings appears.  Press OK.

  3. Press the  button until LAN settings appears.  Press OK.

  4. Press the  button until Other settings appears.  Press OK.

  5. Press the  button until TCP/IP settings appears.  Press OK.

  6. Press the  button to select IPv6.  Press OK.

  7. A message will scroll across the screen.  Press OK.

  8. Press OK on Enable/disable IPv6.

  9. Press the  button to select Inactive.  Press OK.

After disabling IPv6, wait for 20 seconds and then print another LAN details page to see if an IPv4 address has been assigned to the printer.
