Scanner Does Not Respond After the Computer is Brought out of Sleep Mode (macOS) - LiDE 120 / LiDE 220

Description

This article applies to Mac OS X users with the CanoScan LiDE 120 or CanoScan LiDE 220.

 

Solution

Scanning may fail if the computer has resumed from sleep state with the scanner driver active. In that case, exit the scanner driver. Disconnect the USB cable from the computer, then reconnect it.  This will re-initialize the scanner.

If you have ScanGear Starter EX installed, launching this will also re-initialize the scanner.
