How to start Cableless Setup on the Printer - MX490 / MX492

Description

This article shows how to initiate the Cableless setup function of the PIXMA MX490 / MX492. Links are provided to other articles which will provide instructions for setting up a computer or mobile device to work with the printer while it is in the Cableless setup mode.

Solution

1. Press the Setup  button on the printer.

2. Select Wireless LAN setup

3. Select Other setup. Press the OK button.

4. Select Cableless setup. Press the OK button.

After the printer has been placed into Cableless setup mode, you will need to use a Windows PC, Mac, iOS, or Android device to connect the printer to the network.
