Remote UI is software that enables you to implement operations, which are usually performed on the printer's operation panel, using a Web browser over a network.
Before you begin
Change settings using a web browser
To check the printer status and to change the printer settings on your smartphone, tablet, or computer, display Remote UI on the web browser.

Make sure printer is turned on.

Check the printer's IP address by following the steps below:

Press and hold Wi-Fi button and release it when Wi-Fi lamp flashes.

Press Color button.

Press Wi-Fi button 2 times.

Press Color button or Black button. Then, the printer starts printing the network setting information.

Check IPv4 IP Address on the printed list.

Open the web browser on your smartphone, tablet, or computer and enter IP address.

If you display Remote UI for the first time on your smartphone, tablet, or computer, select For secure communication.
If the root certificate is not registered, a message to warn you that the secure connection is not guaranteed may appear.
Once you register the root certificate to the web browser on your smartphone, tablet, or computer, this step should not be required again.
However; if all settings are set back to default from the printer's operation panel, you may need to download the root certificate again, and register it.

Select Log in. The password authentication screen appears.

Enter password. When the password authentication is complete, the menus that can be utilized are displayed on the web browser.
The password is set at the time of purchase and is the printer serial number, which is printed on a sticker attached to the printer. It consists of 9 alphanumeric characters (four letters followed by five numbers). See more details on Setting Password.

Check printer status and change printer settings.

When you finish checking printer status and changing printer settings, select Log out.

Close the web browser.
