Install the Drivers & Software - Mac OS X

After initiating Cableless Setup on the printer, install the drivers and software to enable the printer to be used over the Wireless Network.

Run the Setup Program

1. Access the Setup page, read the information then click the Download button to download the setup file.
    
2. After the file has downloaded, double-click the downloaded .dmg file. Double-click the Setup icon when the Canon_IJ window opens.
    
3. Click Next on the first screen.
   
   
    
4. Click Start Setup.
   
   
    
5. Continue to follow on-screen instructions. Be sure to select Yes on the License Agreement in order to continue.
   
   
   
    
6. Continue to follow on-screen instructions. On the Check Connection Method screen verify the information (Wireless Router and Printer information) and click Yes.
   
   
    
7. Click Next on the Connection completed screen.
   
   
    
8. Drivers will now be installed.
   
   
    
9. Click Add Printer on the Add Printer screen.
   
   
    
10. On the Add screen, select the Canon MG3000 series printer with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column. Select the Canon MG3000 series in the Use: dropdown. Click Add.
    
    
     
11. Click Next on the Add Printer screen.
    
    
     
12. Click *Next on the Print Head Alignment and the Test Print screens, then click Next on the Setup Complete screen.
    
    
    
    * Note: you can perform the  Print Head alignment or Test Print by clicking the Execute button on these screens (not shown).
     
13. On the Software Installation List, select any optional software to install. Click Next.
    
    
     
14. Click Next on the You Can Print from a Smartphone or Tablet screen.
    
    
     
15. Exit the setup.
