Caution If your Mac has macOS® 10.15 or later installed, the driver and software package for this printer is not supported on your computer, follow this link to learn how to wirelessly set up your printer on a Mac with macOS® 10.15 or later.

Prior to starting setup on the computer, start the Easy Wireless Connect process on the printer.  Then complete the setup on the computer. 
 

The setup process consists of 2 parts

  1. Starting Easy Wireless Connect
  2. Download and run the setup files
     


1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on the printer.

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.

    If the power is on, the power lamp (A) will be lit.

    If the printer is performing any process, wait for the process to finish before starting setup.

  2. Tap the HOME button (B) on the printer.

    If an error screen is displayed, tap OK, then tap the HOME.

  3. Use the UpDownLeftRight buttons (C) to select Network status (D).

  4. Press OK.

  5. Select LAN settings and tap OK.

  6. Select Wireless LAN and tap OK.

  7. Select Wireless LAN setup and tap OK.

  8. Select Easy wireless connect and tap OK.

  9. Select Yes and tap OK.

  10. When the printer preparation is complete, the screen below appears.

    Return to the setup application screen and proceed with the setup.

2. Download and run the setup file.
 

Click the link to Get the Setup File, once you identify the file compatible with your computer's operating system tap Download.  After you download the files you can follow the instructions below to complete the setup process.
 

  1. Start setup.  Tap Next on the first screen.

  2. Select Start Setup.

  3. Select appropriate region and tap Next.

    Select Country or Region: United States outlined in red. Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  4. Select Yes on the License Agreement.

    License Agreement: Click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed. Clicking No will end the setup program

  5. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey.

  6. Status check occurs.

  7. Select Yes on the Connection Method.
    (Model #) used in example.  Actual model series number will appear in the setup program.

    Check the Connection Method screen: Verify that your printer's serial number is displayed, then click Yes to proceed

  8. Setup continues. If the Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password) and tap Next.

    The router being used and its network settings determines whether or not this screen appears.

    Select wireless router screen: Select your network, enter the network key in the Network Key field (outlined in red), then click Next (outlined in red)

  9. Network Connection completed. Tap Next.

    Connection completed: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  10. The drivers will be downloaded and installed. This may take several minutes, depending on the speed of your internet connection.

  11. Tap Add Printer on the Add Printer screen.

  12. On the Add screen, select the TS series with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column.  Select the Canon TS (Model #) series in the Use: dropdown list. Tap Add.

    The Model # series varies by model, TS(Model #) series is used as an example only.

    Add window: Select your printer and make sure that it's displayed in the Use: field. Then, click Add (outlined in red)

  13. Tap Next on the Add Printer screen.

  14. Tap Next.

    Test Print screen: Click Next to proceed

  15. Setup complete.  Tap Next.

  16. Select any optional application software desired.  Tap Next.

    Software Installation List: Select the software to install, then click Next (outlined in red)

  17. Tap Next.

    You Can Print from a Smartphone or Tablet screen: Click Next to proceed

  18. Tap Next or Skip.

    User Registration screen: Click Next or Skip (outlined in red) to proceed

  19. Tap Exit.

    Installation completed successfully: Click Exit (outlined in red)
