Description

This article explains what to do if you are trying to access OneDrive or OneNote from the operation panel of your printer and cannot do so.

Solution

When using the Cloud functionality of your printer, you may see a white screen when attempting to use OneDrive or OneNote.  This is because of a change in the login method used for these services.  These services use two-factor authentication.  Because of this, you will not be able to use OneDrive or OneNote from the operation panel of your printer.  However, you can use a mobile device (smartphone or tablet) to log into OneDrive or OneNote so that you can print or scan items.

The steps in this article show OneDrive.  These steps assume that you have Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY installed on your mobile device.  These steps also assume that your printer is already connected wirelessly to your network.  If you do not have this app, you can download it through the App Store on iOS devices or Google Play on Android devices. Also, if you do not have your printer connected wirelessly to your network, you can use this app to set your printer up wirelessly.  Click here for instructions on using an iOS device to set up the printer.  Click here for instructions using an Android device to set up the printer.

After your printer has been registered, you will need to be sure that the printer is registered with the Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Center.  Follow these steps to register your printer with the Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Center:

  1. Launch Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY from your smartphone or tablet.

  2. From the main screen of Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY, tap the printer icon.

When the printer registration message appears, tap OK.
When the password authentication screen appears, enter your password and tap OK.

  4. When the IJ Cloud Printing Center setup screen appears, tap Yes
The registration ends, and the login screen for Canon Inkjet Cloud Printing Center appears.
Log in by following the screen instructions.
