Description

Use the Easy Wireless Connect method to connect the PIXMA TS9020 to a wireless networked (LAN) using a  Windows computer.

Solution


The instructions below show how to use the Easy Wireless Connect method to print and scan wirelessly from the PIXMA TS9120 to a Windows computer.

 Connect the printer to the wireless network and start the Easy Wireless Connect, then complete the setup on the computer. 

 

The setup process consists of 2 parts.
  1. Start Easy Wireless Connect
  2. Download and run the setup files

 

1. Start Easy Wireless Connect

  1. Make sure that the printer is turned on.

    If the power is on, the power lamp (A) will be lit.

 If the printer is performing any process, wait for the process to finish before starting setup.

  1. If HOME is displayed on the left side of the screen, tap HOME.

    If an error screen is displayed, tap OK, then tap HOME.

  2. Tap Network status (B).

  3. Tap LAN settings.

  4. Tap Wireless LAN.

  5. Tap Wireless LAN setup.

  6. Tap Easy wireless connect.

  7. Tap Yes.

    Easy wireless connect screen: Settings will be made on a computer or smartphone, etc.

  8. When the printer preparation is complete, the screen below appears.

    Return to the setup application screen and proceed with the setup.

    Easy wireless connect screen: Follow the instructions on the computer or smartphone, etc. to perform the operation.
     




2. Download and run the setup file.
 

Follow this link to get the setup file, or use the Setup CD-ROM.  Read the information carefully taking note how to run the setup file if setup does not start automatically. Then tap Download.

  1. Select Start Setup.

    Start Setup screen: Click Start Setup to begin installation (outlined in red)

     If you use the Setup CD, select Use the updated software found on internet to get the latest drivers and software for your printer. If not selected, the setup program will install the drivers and software contained on the CD.

  2. Select appropriate region and tap Next.

  3. Select Yes on the License Agreement.

    Read the license agreement, then click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed

  4. Select Agree or Do not agree to the Survey.

    Extended Survey Program screen: Read the information, then click Agree (outlined in red) or Do not agree to proceed

  5. Select Next.

    Firewall Settings screen: Select "Deactivate the block", then click Next (outlined in red)

  6. Select Yes on the Connection Method.

     (Model #) is used as an example.  Actual model series number will appear in the setup program.

    Check the Connection Method screen: Make sure your printer appears in this window, then click Yes (outlined in red)

  7. Setup continues.  If the Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password) and tap Next.
     The router being used and its network settings determines whether or not this screen appears

    Select wireless router screen: (Select your router from the list, enter the network key (password), then click Next (outlined in red)

  8. Information appears.

    Setting Up screen: Network connection is temporarily disabled during this process

  9. Network Connection completed.  Tap Next.

    Connection completed. Click Next (outlined in red)

  10. Setup complete.  Tap Next.

    Setup complete. Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed. If you want this printer to be the default printer, select Set as default printer

  11. Select any optional software desired (Defaults, Clear All or select by checkbox).  Tap Next.

    Software Installation List: Select any software you want to install, then click Next (outlined in red)

  12. Select Next.

    You Can Print from a Smartphone or Tablet screen: Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

  13. Select Next or Skip.

    User Registration screen: Click Next or Skip (outlined in red) to proceed

  14. Select Exit.

    Installation completed successfully. Click Exit (outlined in red)
