Description

Use the Easy Wireless Connect method to set up your PIXMA TS6020 printer wirelessly from a Windows computer.

Solution

Note These instructions are for Windows. Refer to this article if you need setup instructions for a Mac®.

To be able to use the PIXMA TS6020 printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Windows computer, the printer must first be connected to the Wireless Network and software drivers and applications installed on the computer.


There are two parts to the setup process:

  1. Start the setup process on your printer.
  2. Download and run the setup file on your computer.


1. Start the setup process on your printer

  1. Make sure the printer is turned ON. If the power is on, the POWER lamp (A) will be lit.
    Note If the printer is performing cleaning, print head alignment, or other processes, wait for the process to finish.

  2. Press the HOME button (B) on the printer.
    Note If an error screen displays, tap OK, then press the HOME button.

  3. Tap the connection icon Network status (C).

  4. Tap LAN settings.

  5. Tap Wireless LAN.

  6. Tap Wireless LAN setup.

  7. Tap Easy wireless connect.

  8. Tap Yes.

  9. When the printer preparation is complete, the screen below appears.
    Easy wireless connect screen: Follow the instructions on the computer or smartphone, etc. to perform the operation.
     

  10. Return to the setup application screen and proceed with the setup.

 

2. Download and run the setup file*

*Setup can also be performed by using the Setup CD.

  1. Get the Setup file.

  2. Read the information and note how to run the setup file if it doesn't start automatically, then select Download.

  3. Select Start Setup.

  4. Select the appropriate region, then select Next.

  5. Select Yes on the License Agreement screen.

  6. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey.

  7. Select Next on the Firewall Settings screen.

  8. Select Yes on the Connection Method screen. 
    Note (Model #) is used as an example. Your actual model series number appears in the setup program.

  9. Setup continues. If the Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect, enter the Network Key (password) and select Next.
    Note Your router and network settings determine whether or not this screen appears.

  10. The setup continues. Wait for the process to finish.

  11. Network Connection completed. Select Next.

  12. Select Next on the Setup Complete screen. You are almost finished.

  13. Select any optional application software you want to add (check the box to add, or check again to clear the item), then select Next.

  14. Select Next on the You Can Print... screen.

  15. Select Next or Skip on the User Registration screen.

  16. Select Exit. You are now ready to print wirelessly.
