Set up the PIXMA G3200 Printer for use on a Wireless LAN - Windows

Windows / Wireless Network


  • If your printer was previously set up on a wireless network and it needs to be reconfigured (for example, if your network name or password changed, or if you got a new wireless router), you can use the WPS Push Button method to connect the printer to your network.  Click here for instructions.

    Please note that not all wireless routers support the WPS Push Button function.

Wireless Setup - Windows Computers

To be able to use the PIXMA G series printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Windows computer, the printer must first be connected to the Wireless Network and software drivers and applications installed on the computer.  The instructions /  screenshots  below show the setup program steps  when using the "Easy Wireless Connect" method to connect to the wireless network.

The setup process consists of 2 parts: 

1. Starting Easy Wireless Connect on the printer, and
2. Downloading and running the setup file to install the drivers and software.


1.  Start  Easy Wireless Connect on the printer.

Prior to starting setup on the Computer, Smartphone or tablet device, start the Easy wireless connect on the printer.  Then complete the setup on the computer or device. 
See the procedure below to start the Easy Wireless connect.

  1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (A) on the printer until the ON lamp (B) flashes.

  2. Press the Color button (C) then the Wi-Fi button (A).

  3. Make sure the Wi-Fi lamp (D) flashes quickly and the ON lamp is lit.

  4. Return to the application screen and proceed with the setup.


2. Download and run the setup file.*

Read the information carefully taking note how to run the setup file if setup does not start automatically. Then click the "Download" button.

*Setup can also be performed by using the Setup CD-ROM


  1. Select Start Setup

  2. Select appropriate region and click Next

  3. Select Yes on the License Agreement.

  4. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey.

  5. Select Next

  6. Select Yes on the Connection Method.  *Note (Model #) is used as an example.  Actual model series number will appear in the setup program.

  7. Setup continues.  If the *Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password) and click Next.

    * The router being used and its network settings determines whether or not this screen appears

  8. Information appears

  9. Network Connection completed.  Click Next

  10. Setup complete.  Click Next

  11. Select any optional application software desired (Defaults, Clear All or select by checkbox).  Click Next

  12. Click Next

  13. Click Next or Skip

  14. Click Exit.
