Description

Use Easy Wireless Connect setup to print or scan wirelessly on the PIXMA G3200 printer from a Windows computer.

Solution

To manage your PIXMA G3200 printer from a Windows computer, the printer must first be connected to your wireless network. Then, the printer drivers, software drivers and applications need to be installed on your computer.

The setup process consists of 2 parts:

  1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on your printer.
  2. Download and run the setup file on your computer.


1. Start Easy Wireless Connect on your printer

Prior to starting setup on the computer, smartphone or tablet device, start the Easy Wireless Connect on the printer:

  1. Make sure the printer is turned ON.
    Note If the printer is performing cleaning, print head alignment or other tasks, wait for the process to finish.

  2. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button (A) on the printer until the ON lamp (B) flashes.

  1. Press the Color button (C) then the Wi-Fi button (A).

  2. Make sure the Wi-Fi lamp (D) flashes quickly and the ON lamp is lit.

  1. Return to the application screen and proceed with the setup.



2. Download and run the setup file on your computer*

*Setup can also be performed by using the Setup CD.

  1. Get the Setup File and read the information carefully. Make note of what to do if the setup file doesn't run automatically.

  2. ​Select the Download button to start the process.

  3. Select Start Setup.

  1. Select the appropriate region, then select Next.

  1. Select Yes on the License Agreement.

  1. Select Agree or Do Not Agree to the Survey.

  1. Select Next on the firewall settings screen.

  1. Select Yes on the Connection Method.
    Note The Model # is used as an example. Your actual model series number will appear in the setup program.

  1. Setup continues. If the Select wireless router screen (below) appears, select the wireless router to connect to the printer, enter the Network Key (password) and select Next.
    Note Your router and network settings determine whether or not this screen appears.

  1. Set up continues. Please wait.

  2. Network Connection completed. Select Next.

  1. Setup completes. Select Next.

  1. Select any optional application software you want to add (click the checkbox to add, or click again to remove), then select Next.

  1. Select Next on the You Can Print... screen.

  1. Select Next or Skip for the User Registration.

  1. Select Exit. You are ready to print wirelessly.
