Printing from browser phenomenon

Solution

Printing from Safari in macOS Sierra 10.12.4

When  printing from Safari using the CUPS printer driver in macOS Sierra version 10.12.4, the print setting functions are not displayed and only printing with Default Settings is available. The print setting such as quality, media type, borderless printing cannot be changed. There is no problem printing using AirPrint. See instructions.

  • When you want to use the print setting functions, use a browser other than Safari such as Firefox, Chrome, etc.

  • When you want to perform printing from Safari, print using AirPrint (For machines that support AirPrint) .**
** Be sure to add the printer as an AirPrint printer
