Description
This article explains how you can update the firmware for your printer using its operation panel.
Solution
Occasionally, your MAXIFY printer will display a notification regarding a firmware update. Follow the steps below to update the firmware for your printer.
Note
For the MB2120, use the arrow keys and the OK button to select the options shown.
Your printer must be connected to a network that can access the internet in order to update the firmware from the operation panel.
From the HOME screen, swipe over to Setup and tap it.
Tap Device settings.
Swipe down to Firmware update and tap it.
Tap Install update.
The printer will communicate with the server containing the firmware.
You will be notified that the latest version of the firmware is on the server. Tap Yes.
On the message that appears, tap Start update.
The printer will turn off and begin downloading the firmware update. Do not turn off the printer.
After the update has completed, the printer will turn off and on again automatically. When Update succeeded appears, tap OK.
After the firmware update has been applied, you can verify if your firmware is up to date by either attempting to install the firmware update again, or by tapping Check current version shown in Step 4. If you attempt to install the update after your printer has already had its firmware updated, you will receive a message telling you that the latest version is installed.
