Instructions for easily connecting Canon Camera Connect to EOS cameras via Bluetooth.

Solution

Bluetooth pairing lets you quickly and easily connect a compatible EOS camera to a  smartphone or tablet which has the free "Canon Camera Connect" app installed (version 1.3.20) or newer. (The free Canon Camera Connect app is available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.) Once you’ve set up the initial pairing, you’re able to set the camera to automatically connect when turned on. When the app is active it switches from Bluetooth to Wi-Fi to allow a compatible smartphone or tablet to view images on the camera or to remotely control the camera. The Wi-Fi connection is automatic for Android devices. For iOS devices, see the iOS process below. Data is transferred via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth is not used to transfer data.
The optional Wireless Remote Control BR-E1 can also connect via Bluetooth for simple remote shooting. (Wireless Remote Control BR-E1 is only compatible with the EOS Rebel T7i, EOS 77D and Power Zoom Adapter PZ-E1).

Bluetooth compatible EOS cameras are the EOS M5, EOS M6, EOS Rebel T7i and the EOS 77D.
