Follow the instructions below to set up your connection to the wireless LAN using WPS.
Before you begin.
-
WPS (Wi-Fi® Protected Setup) is a method that allows you to easily connect network devices to a secure wireless network.
-
You do not need to know your SSID or password (network key) when to use this method.
-
If you have a wireless access point or router that supports WPS, you can easily connect your Canon wireless printer to your home network.
-
To check if your router supports WPS, confirm your router has the symbol as shown below. In some cases there will be a button labeled WPS. For more information, please see the access point or router’s instruction manual.

WPS connection set up.
-
While on the HOME screen, swipe left until you find LAN settings. Then tap LAN settings.

-
Tap Wireless LAN setup.

-
Tap WPS (Push button method).

-
Tap OK.

-
Press and hold the WPS button on the wireless router. Check the wireless router's manual for more information.

-
Tap OK on the printer within 2 minutes.
-
When the screen on the below appears, tap OK. The network connection setup is now complete.

- If you will use the MG7720 to print or scan wirelessly from a Mac or Windows computer, software must be installed to enable these functions.
